Where Conservation Meets Community

Our Story

The Pike-Wayne Trout Unlimited Chapter was chartered in March of 1985

There were many fishermen in the area who thought it would be a good idea to look into starting a Trout Unlimited Chapter.  The group of fishermen held several meetings at Settlers Inn in Hawley, to determine if they should establish a Chapter.  The fishermen all decided to move forward and establish the Pike-Wayne Chapter.  Below is the Trout Unlimited Charter that was signed by many of the members in March 1985.

The Pike-Wayne Chapter meetings were held at Lange’s Restaurant in Hawley.  After 20 years, David Lange, the owner, decided to sell the business.  Cora Jones bought the property in 2003 and it has been Cora’s 1850 Bistro, on Welwood Ave, Hawley, PA ever since.

Cora has allowed the Pike-Wayne Trout Unlimited Chapter to hold monthly meetings upstairs.  To this day, the Pike-Wayne Chapter holds meetings during the second Tuesday of each Month, in the Fall, Winter, and Spring at 5:30 pm.  During the summer months, the PWTU Chapter holds meetings and a barbecue along the Lackawaxen River on Towpath Road.

All are welcome to attend our meetings.

Come join us as we celebrate our 40th year as a Trout Unlimited Chapter.

We appreciate Cora’s 1850 Bistro support over the years.
Thank you, Cora!
